The Oasis was birthed from the promise of God in Isaiah 41 v 18-20 which says “I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valley; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedars, the acacia, the myrtle, and the wild olive; I will set the cypress in the desert, the plane tree and the pine tree together, that men may see and know and consider and understand together that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it”
Before the promise, verse 17 says: “The poor and needy are seeking water……. Their tongues are parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer, I will not forsake them……..
At the Oasis, we believe God’s answer is people- first, His Son Jesus, the Living Water, and then the promise of choice trees i.e. Sons and Daughters who have Him as their source, authentic, holy, courageous, servant-hearted, faith-filled, and faithful people. So our commitment is to be a house of refreshment for a generation that’s hungry and thirsty, searching for God along the many deserts part ways. It is to be and to disciple men and women after the pattern of Jesus Christ, marked by the Godly spirits, character, and excellence.
Our journey since 2013 has been full of learning- encountering God, cultivating Kingdom culture, forging friendships, and growing strong family bonds. We are excited for the future, to continue to be transformed by God, to discover more of the work He has for us, and to do it His Way for His Glory.
